CAARD Publishers (Centre for Action and Applied Research for Development) is an academic publishing house based in Fort Portal, Western Uganda. We publish research handbooks, keynote addresses, and academic guides by Prof. Dr. Moses Muhumuza (PhD) and other East African scholars.

- Submit a manuscript or publication inquiry (name, email, institution, document files)
- Contact us for support or refunds
- Sign up for notifications about new titles
We do not use cookies, tracking scripts, or analytics tools on this website. We do not collect information passively from your browser or device.
3. How We Use Your Information
- Order fulfilment — to confirm your order, process payment via Mobile Money, and deliver your PDF or physical book
- Communication — to respond to your enquiries, send order confirmations, and notify you of new titles if you requested this
- Record keeping — to maintain records of sales transactions and author royalty payments
- Legal compliance — to comply with Ugandan law and any applicable publishing regulations
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
4. WhatsApp Orders
When you place an order via WhatsApp, your conversation is subject to WhatsApp's own privacy policy (Meta Platforms, Inc.). We use WhatsApp solely for order processing and delivery of digital files. We do not store WhatsApp message content beyond what is necessary to fulfil your order.
5. Data Storage and Security
Order records are stored securely by CAARD Publishers for a period of five (5) years for accounting and legal purposes. Physical and digital records are accessible only to authorised CAARD staff. We take reasonable precautions to protect your information from unauthorised access.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your information (subject to legal retention requirements)
- Opt out of any notification communications at any time
